Anyone interested?

I am part of a book club reading young adult books. We have been meeting for about three or four months now. It has been so much fun, and I love reading young adult and children's lit. The only problem is that our group is so SMALL!!! We need more people to participate. Please let me know if you would like to be part of a wonderful book club. The book we are reading right now is "How Mrs. Claus Saved Christmas" by Jeff Guinn.

I have only read the first two chapters, but I have really liked it so far. If you are interested in joining our group, let me know and I will give you more information. You can either comment on my blog or you can email me at courtneyhuish@hotmail.com. We just started reading this book, so you wouldn't be far behind. Please, please, please help our group get bigger. ALL ARE WELCOME!!!

Skeletons in the closet

Here are a few pictures from Halloween. Sam was so cute!! His Grandma Huish got him a cute little skeleton costume to wear, and he looked so cute!! We weren't out for too long that night, because Samson wasn't feeling very well. He had a pretty nasty cold, and he had a horrible diaper rash on his bum that night. I felt so bad for him, but he did fairly well for the pictures. Scott and I dressed up as well. I was supposed to be a nurse or something from a crazy house, and Scott was my patient. Nothing too clever, but it was fun to rat out my hair!! I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween.

Oh, so cute!!

Here are some super cute pictures of the last little while. Samson is getting so big... I can't believe it! He is now 8 1/2 months old. Where has the time gone?! He has such a little personality that is so fun to watch. Sam is the sweetest little boy, we love him so much! Enjoy the pics!!

Samson's newest trick is standing himself up. He figured out how to do it so quickly. When we were putting him to bed one night, it took him so long to fall asleep because he kept pulling himself up. Sam is very good at it now, and does it ALL THE TIME!!!

This one is my favorite!!!

Here Sam and I are with my brother, Andy and his daughter, Eden. They came over to see our apartment before they went back to Omaha. Eden was upset right before taking this picture because she didn't want to go. Jill (her mom) got her to get the cute smile by telling her that she wanted her to frown for the picture. Eden thought it was funny, so we were able to get her happy face!

Samson had a bucket in his room from Easter... (Yes, it still had candy in it) While we weren't looking, Sam went into his room, and tipped the bucket over. He was having a lot of fun plying with the "grass" when we found him. We just couldn't resist taking pictures. What a funny little boy we have!

This is my friend, Toni's son, Benjamin. Samson and I were over at their house one day, and Ben wanted to play with Sam. They were so cute together. Toni's kids get so excited when I come over with Sam! Toni and I are friends from work, and we are so much alike, it's scary!! We have so much fun hanging out, though. We are hilarious!!

Pictures... Finally

So, I finally got around to posting pictures of when Ben got home!! I know, I'm such a slacker!! Anyways...
Here we are waiting anxiously for Ben and my parent's to come down the escalator.

Abbie (with the help of Arica) made signs for all of the kids to wear. This is the one they made for Samson.

Here is Abbie with her sign. She would only let Scott take the picture if Sam and I were in it with her. I wanted to get one of just her wearing the sign, but I'll take what I can get! :)
FYI: the tickets on the signs are from NickelCade, but Abbie told us that they all said "Uncle Ben gets home today" so they had to be put on the signs!!

And here's Ben! I had forgotten how tall he actually was. I'm pretty sure he grew a little bit more while he was in Germany, but I'm not entirely positive! It was great to see him, and fun to have him hold Sam... He sure loves his Uncle Ben!!

I took this picture two day after they got home. The jet lag was still taking it's toll. Ben said that his first two nights home, he slept a total of about 5 hours of something like that. He caught up on the rest during the day, on the couch with the pillow!
Well, those are all of the pictures I have for that adventure. It had been great to have Ben home. My older brother, Andy, and his family flew in the day after Ben got home, and they were here for a week. It was a blast having my whole family together again. It had been a long time! I have a lot more things to blog about, so I hope I'll get some more posts up in the next week. I just don't want to do it tonight because it's getting late, and my computer is being a little slow! Until next time...
