Cousins

While we were at my parents on Sunday, I got some really cute pictures of Sam and his cousins. Abbie wanted to hold Samson in her lap, and while she was holding him, she asked if I had my camera and if I'd take her picture with Sam. This was very surprising to us because Abbie usually doesn't like to have her picture taken. So, I got out my camera, and was taking pictures of her. Then my mom took her camera out, and Abbie wouldn't let her take any pictures. She said that only I could take her picture. It was pretty cute. So here are some of the pictures I got.

Abbie holding Samson's hand. Doesn't Sam looked so thrilled to be doing this?!

This one isn't a very good picture because as I've said before, my digital camera sucks, but I still thought it was cute - even if it is a little fuzzy.

This is the best picture I got of Abbie smiling. Unfortunately, I think she is getting some hair out of her face, and Sam if yawning. I like it, though.

Here is Samson and his cousin Alexis that is two months older than him. They are so cute together. We love to lay them next to each other, and compare their sizes. Lexi is usually much bigger than Sam. Which reminds me - Sam went to the doctor yesterday, and he weighs 10 lbs 2.8 oz and he's 21 3/4 in long. He's just a little guy, but he's so darn cute!! Anyway, Lexi and Sam like to hold hands when their next to each other.

I LOVE this picture of Sam!!! My mom actually took this one with her phone, and I had her send it to my phone right away. I just had to have it!! I love the little outfit he was in that day, too. He is wearing navy blue pants, and white collar shirt, and a snazzy yellow sweater vest. He looked so grown up! I just love the look on his face and the way he's holding his hands. What a handsome little guy!

This is a video I took a little while ago. We were at my parents house watching the Jazz game, and we were eating some Twizzlers. My mom gave one to Sam, and he was putting it in his mouth to taste it. It was really cute. We took it away from him before he tried to swallow anything, but I think he liked the taste!!

More Samson pictures

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything, so I thought I'd put a few more pictures on. I love that my phone can take pictures and video, and that we have a memory card for my phone so I can transfer them to the computer. It's a good thing because our digital camera kind of sucks. So, anyways, here are more pictures!! I also found a hilarious video on my phone, so I thought I'd share it with you.

I was trying to get Samson to smile again, and this is what I got!! I love the funny faces that he's always pulling. He just makes me laugh all the time!

This was me trying to get a picture of Sam smiling - again - and Scott said, "tell me when you're going to take it." So when I said "now" he moved in front of the camera and smiled. I think it's funny that you can kind of see Sam in the background looking a little offended that daddy was stealing his lime light!

Okay, so this is the video that I took almost a year ago of my niece, Abbie in my mom's backyard. She loves to play in the little kiddie pool that they have. One day while I was over there, my mom and I taught Abbie what a wedgie was. She kept pulling at her swimming suit, so we told her that she had a wedgie. If you listen closely, you can hear my mom asking Abbie what she's doing. I think it's hilarious!!!!

Look what Sam can do!!

So, I just have to tell everyone what a talented son I have. But first, I have to show you some super cute pictures I got of him today. The one on the right is his "give me a hug" picture. Isn't he so cute? He is smiling a little bit in this one, but he does a much bigger and better smile most of the time, I promise. I just can't believe how big he is getting. He is eight weeks old today (two months on Fri.) and he is doing so much! He smiles a lot - especially for mommy - and he pulls some pretty funny faces, too. As seen in the picture below. This was me trying to get him to smile, but it looks like he's giving me more of a "what's going on" face. I thought it was super cute, so I thought I'd post it!!
Now, on to the more important stuff... Sam is only eight weeks old, and - yes, folks - he rolls over all by himself!! He did it about four times in a row tonight. We put him down for some tummy time, and he rolled over about three seconds after we put him down! So, I decided to take a little video of it, and show it to all of you Samson fans out there!! I hope you enjoy!!

Ode to Madison

I was looking through some of our old pictures the other day, and saw some of my old dog, Madison. Then a few nights ago, I had a dream about her. So, I took it as a sign to dedicate a post to her. She was such a good dog. She was about 17 years old when we had to put her down last June. I remember my dad bringing her home one day, and how excited I was. He decided to name her Madison after the mermaid in "Splash." Madi didn't really like me much for the first several years. I would try so hard to play with her the way the others did, but she always ended up biting me. Most of the time, she'd draw blood. But, I kept trying, and eventually, she liked me. Near the end of her life, I like to say that she loved me the most. She would sleep with me, and would always come to me and cuddle with me. However, because she spent most of her time in my room, it smelled pretty bad. That was the worst part! She was such a sweet little dog, and it was really hard to take her to have her put down because of her old age. She was blind and deaf, and just wasn't enjoying life. I know we did the right thing for her, but it was still hard, and I miss her a lot! So, Madison - where ever you are - this one's for you!! :)

Blessing Day

Sunday was Samson's blessing day, and it turned out really nice. It was so awesome to listen and see Scott give the blessing. He was pretty excited to do it! Sam was really good during the blessing, too. He was awake during it, and he didn't even need his binki!! Scott said that Sam cried a little bit near the end, but I didn't hear it. It was such a neat day. I hope Sam was able to feel of the love that his daddy and everyone else in the circle had for him!

After the meeting everyone went over to my mom and dad's house for a luncheon. We had a really good time. Everyone thought Sam was so cute, and I have to say that I agree with them!! He did look super cute in his little blessing outfit - a white baby tux, complete with bow tie! I think everyone had a good time, and I want to thank everyone that was able to participate in Samson's special day. Here is one more picture of Sam, his parents, and his happy grandparents!!

Go Jazz!!

We just finished watching the Jazz game a little while ago. They started off really strong, and then they made us a little nervous in the middle. They were able to pull it together again, and beat the Denver Nuggets 124-97. It was a pretty good game. I love to watch the Jazz play a good game. They will be playing the Houston Rockets on Monday which might determine the home court advantage. (I'm not totally sure, but I like to sound like I know what I'm talking about!!) Sam really enjoys watching the Jazz play, too. He's a big fan. He might just be enjoying the lights and sounds that come from the tv, but he's still a fan!! We're raising him right - at least as far as the NBA goes!! So, everyone keep their fingers crossed that the Jazz will win on Monday. GO JAZZ!!!

My first post

Since I don't really have anything to blog about right now other than the cutest little boy ever, I'll post Scott's favorite picture that we have. I guess I kinda like it, too. I usually don't like pictures of me, but this one isn't bad. Samson sure looks cute, though. We sure do love this little guy. He just keeps us smiling all the time. He's been a good baby so far. He's had a couple of rough nights, but most of the time he does pretty well. We absolutely love being parents, and from what I've heard, it only gets better!
