Birthday Fun

Finally!! Pictures from Samson's birthday. He had a great day, and got lots of fun things! We bought him this cute little chair for him that has Lightning McQueen on in. He wasn't quite sure about it at first, but he's starting to understand that he sits in it. He still likes to play with it, too though. It took us a while to get a good picture of him in the chair. These were the best we got!!

Grandpa Bruce and ShaSha came over the night of his birthday to bring him his birthday present. I love this picture of his just standing next to the box and trying to figure out how to open it!
Still trying... With help from Daddy!
After getting the paper off, he discovered an awesome little car garage thing with a heliport. He was having so much fun with it! He loves to play with cars and drive them around while making "car noises."
Showing Grandpa Bruce the car he got.
Just having fun playing with his new toy!

We had a birthday party for Samson a couple days after his birthday. My family and Scott's family came over to celebrate and have cake and ice cream. Scott made some delicious homemade raspberry ice cream, and both our parents' brought yummy cup cakes. Sam was a little unsure of what to do when I first gave him the cupcake. But, once I gave him a taste, he loved it!!

After cake and ice cream, Samson opened his presents.
Help from Mommy. He's still getting the hang of how presents work.
He got a few trucks for his birthday, and he LOVES them. He will spend so much time just driving his trucks and cars around. It is so cute. I love to sit and watch this boy find entertainment! He is such a sweetie!
Fun in his big boy chair. (Right before bed.)

Videos of Sam opening a present and eating a yummy cupcake!

I suck!

I know I said last week that I'd post the pictures of Samson's birthday over the weekend. Alas, here we are almost to another weekend, and still no pictures. I apologize over and over. (Scott is telling me it's too late to apologize, it's too late, ah ah ah) Anyway... I will try to get the pictures transferred over in the next day or two and get them posted! I'm sorry again! :(

On another note...
We are sad to say that Scott's grandma passed away this week. She went to the hospital Monday night with abdominal pain. She was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and passed away yesterday morning due to kidney failure. We will miss her dearly, but we are glad that she is now reunited with her sweet husband. We love you Grandma Huish!!

A year ago today

Our little Samson Bruce turned ONE YEAR OLD today!! I can't believe that it's been a whole year since we were blessed with this little guy in our family and into our lives. He has been such a wonderful addition to our family. We love him so much, and we couldn't ask for a better son. He just grows up too fast!! :) As I was looking though our old pictures to put some onto the blog, I was amazed at how tiny Sam was. I still find myself looking at him sometimes and thinking, "I can't believe that came out of me!" Sorry the pictures are so blurry, they were taken with our old, crappy camera. These were some of the best ones I could find. We are having a birthday party for Samson on Friday. I will take lots of pictures and post them this weekend! Until then, enjoy these really fuzzy ones of baby Sam!

My husband ROCKS!!!

I have the best husband IN THE WORLD!!! I have been sick all weekend. (Thanks to some stupid people that I work with that brought germs to work. Another story.) Anyways, we had planned to do some good cleaning yesterday and we decided to rearrange our living room. When I woke up yesterday morning, I felt like CRAP!! Scott was awesome. He let me sleep in, he got up, took care of Samson, and started cleaning and moving things around. I spent the whole day either in bed, or resting on the couch while my dear, sweet, amazing husband took care of ALL the cleaning and rearranging of the living room. How crazy awesome is he?!?! I kept telling him that I felt bad that I wasn't helping much, but he just made me rest and take care of myself. In addition to the cleaning, rearranging, and taking care of Sam, he also found time to take care of me. He'd make me soup, get me medicine, and just let me rest. This morning, I stayed home from church, while Scott went and took Sam with him so I could, once again, just rest and get better. Thank goodness, I feel much better today. My temperature is normal today, compared to the 101.8 one I had last night. I HATE BEING SICK!!! It makes it a little better when I have an awesome husband to take care of me, though. Thanks for all you do, babe!! I LOVE YOU!!!

Christmas 2008

Yes, I do realize that we are now almost half way through February, and I'm only now doing a post about Christmas. I'm such a slacker!! Actually, I tried to work on a Christmas post last week, and it was taking WAY TOO LONG to load the pictures. Well, yesterday I was playing around on my facebook account, and decided to try to create a photo album on my page. It was SO MUCH FASTER than waiting for them to load on the blog. So, I just decided that if you want to see some pictures of the Huish Family Christmas 2008, feel free to look at my facebook. I plan on putting more pictures on my facebook as well. I will still update my blog with pictures, I just didn't feel like waiting forever for the Christmas ones to load. So, until next time...
